Driveway Alarm & Alert Systems

The STI-30150 is a wireless driveway monitoring system that sends a wireless signal to a receiver when a vehicle enters your driveway.  The receiver will chime and a red LED will flash when it is activated.   Once the receiver chimes, it will continue to flash for approximately 15 minutes or until the reset button is pressed.  This system will transmit its wireless system up to 1,000 feet under ideal conditions and line of site.

*When the sensor detects a car and signals the receiver, there will be a five second delay for the unit to reset itself prior to detecting the next vehicle.

This system is a magnetometer based system which means large metallic objects, steel or iron, close to the system will trigger the sensor and thus send the wireless signal to the receiver.  This differs from a PIR based system which is typically activated by movement of any kind.

The benefit of a magnetometer system is that the sensor will not trigger based on movement by animals, leaves, people, etc.  The negative is that this system will not detect movement caused by animals, leaves, people, etc.
